Featured Restaurant: Lawrence's Cafe

No, I don't own stock in this place! Actually, I was just enjoying a lovely 10th anniversary dinner with the lovely Ms. Reed at Lawrence's Cafe the other evening; so I just wanted to take a minute to introduce the place to folks that might be unfamiliar, and to remind folks who are already in the know.

Lawrence's Cafe is a family-owned Lebanese restaurant, the proprietor of which is my friend Tony. It's right down the street from Zuffy's on Buford Highway. I've been going there for quite a while...at least 15 years, I'd say. I really like the babganush, the tabouli salad, and the felafel, as well as the decor. The back room is the "tent" room, and is pretty cool. It's getting to be a good time of year to enjoy the covered patio as well, so you can drop by for lunch as well as dinner. (Check hours here.)

Tony is a great guy, and--knowing what kind of music I like--was kind enough to give me his Arabian Nights 6 CD last time we were there, which is very cool. So drop by and say hello to Tony...just don't do it on Sunday...they are closed. A chef needs his rest!
