Happy Holidays!

I hope everyone is having a good holiday. It's been a challenging year for many; and it's good to take some time to reflect on one's blessings, eat some turkey, and sit in front of the fire. However, I'll be doing none of that! It's about time for a CD release, and I feel like I've been in labor for two years, delivering a twenty pound sonic baby. I'm not just talking about the music, either! We've got the new Worldsongs, Inc. record label incorporated; Art Czar Mark Kirby has created a killer CD design and website [NOTE: If you're reading this before 12/2/09, you are *not* seeing the new site...don't blame Kirby for this mess!) using the excellent photographic art of Zack Arias; and we just went back into Sonica Recording with the right reverends Sean O'Rourke and Joe Reda to cut our final tracks for the CD, under the eagle eye (and ears) of John (a.k.a. "Johnny B") Briglevich. So...the short story is that the CD should be available for Christmas unless the manufacturer is jammed up. We hope you'll like it. Meanwhile, come on out for some jazz, good food and drink and pleasant folk at Ray's On The River this Saturday evening as I join Nick Longo for some "unplugged" acoustic jazz; and Zuffy's next Thursday for a rockin' good holiday performance with Tak Nakazawa's Tak Attack... ...and on behalf of the crack team at Worldsongs, have a great holiday season.
